About Lansdale borough

lansdale Located in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, Lansdale borough is almost 3 square miles and has a population of 17,083 (2019 census). It lies 28 miles northwest of Philadelphia, which is easily accessed via the Reading Railroad hub in Lansdale. The borough is managed by Mayor Andrew Szekely and a borough council. Borough Hall (currently under construction) is located at One Vine Street (the intersection of South Broad and Vine streets at the SEPTA Railroad crossing). The borough is part of the Thirteenth Congressional District (represented by John Joyce, MD), Pennsylvania's 53rd Representative District (represented by Steve Malagari), and the 24th State Senate District (represented by Sen. Bob Mensch).

The Lansdale Public Library serves the residents of Lansdale borough, who support operations through their taxes. We are also pleased to help residents of surrounding communities, who are asked to pay $35 a year to join the library (the amount borough residents pay within their annual taxes).

Lansdale Post Office, located in Lansdale Borough, serves a wide area, including portions of Upper Gwynedd Township, so residents of that area have a Lansdale mailing address despite the fact that they do not live within the borough.

Among the annual events in Lansdale are the International Spring Festival, Lansdale Day, and the Festival of the Arts.
