montco Welcome to Montgomery County ("Montco"), Pennsylvania, located northwest of Philadelphia. The third-largest county in the commonwealth, it's also the second wealthiest. Just under 800,000 people live among its 62 township and boroughs.

Formed in 1784 out of land originally part of Philadelphia county, Montgomery County has a rich history as well as a thriving economy, with major employers including drug companies, education institutions, healthcare organizations, and more.
